Glass fiber reinforced plastic negative pressure fan: working principle and usage precautions

1. Working principle and technical features of Glass fiber reinforced plastic negative pressure fan

Basic working principle——

Glass fiber reinforced plastic negative pressure fan adopts the negative pressure ventilation principle. Through the operation of the fan, a negative pressure state is formed in the room, forcing the outdoor fresh air to flow in naturally from doors, windows or other openings, and quickly discharges the indoor hot air, odor, dust and other bad gases to the outside. This forced convection ventilation method can achieve a higher ventilation efficiency and improve the indoor air quality within a few seconds.

Technical features——

Material advantages: The fan frame and fan blades have high strength, light weight (30% lighter than metal materials), corrosion resistance (acid and alkali resistance, rust and mildew resistance), etc., which are particularly suitable for marine climate and high humidity industrial environment

Energy saving and high efficiency: Under the same power, the air volume of FRP negative pressure fan is 20%-30% larger than that of traditional galvanized plate fan, and the energy consumption is only 10%-15% of traditional air conditioner

Low noise operation: The optimized aerodynamic design combined with FRP material makes the operating noise less than 60 decibels, which is far lower than the industrial noise standard

2. Key working points of Glass fiber reinforced plastic negative pressure fan

Installation layout points——

Best installation position: Preferentially choose side wall windows for installation, keep the height at 2-3 meters (human comfort height), and avoid structural load-bearing beams

Convection design principle: Sufficient air inlets (area ≥ 1.5 times the fan outlet) should be reserved on the opposite side of the fan installation to form a straight air flow path

Multiple units coordinated layout: Large workshops should adopt "one in one row" spacing layout, and the distance between adjacent fans should be kept at 3-5 meters to avoid airflow short circuit

Sealing treatment: After installation, glass glue should be used to fill the gap between the frame and the wall to prevent air leakage from affecting the negative pressure effect (air leakage rate should be <5%)

Main points for operation and maintenance——

Check before starting: Confirm that the fan blades rotate flexibly without obstruction and the fasteners are not loose

Clean the dust on the blinds every week (especially textile and foundry plants)

Check the belt tension every month (5-8mm sag is preferred)

Add high-temperature lithium-based grease to the bearings every quarter

Check the opening and closing flexibility of the rainproof blinds before the rainy season

When not in use in winter, the power should be cut off and the motor should be wrapped to prevent moisture

3. Common problem diagnosis Interruption and solution

  • Insufficient air volume problem investigation

Inspection items: power supply voltage (±10% rated value), belt tightness, shutter opening, air inlet blockage

Solution: adjust belt tension to 5mm sinking when thumb is pressed; clean air inlet filter

  • Abnormal noise treatment

Mechanical noise: check bearing wear (radial clearance > 0.5mm needs to be replaced); tighten anchor bolts

Airflow noise: optimize outlet duct elbow (curvature radius ≥ 1.5 times pipe diameter); install muffler

  • Motor overheat protection

Cause analysis: voltage instability (> ±10%); fan blade angle deviation (> ±3°); ambient temperature > 40℃

Handling measures: install voltage stabilizer; correct fan blade angle; add sunshade
